Le Rituel Éclat
Two products. One morning protocol. For skin that has developed hormonal pigmentation and needs more than a general SPF.
- SVR Ampoule C Antioxidant 30ml £42
- Avène Sunsimed SPF50 Pigment 80ml £20
What this ritual does
Hormonal pigmentation arrives quietly and stays. It is one of the most common changes after forty — and one of the least addressed by general skincare.
Vitamin C in the morning does two things: it neutralises the free radicals that make pigment worse, and it makes the SPF that follows it more effective. The Sunsimed is not a general sunscreen — it was formulated specifically for skin with a tendency toward melasma. The distinction matters. A general SPF50 will protect. This one was built for the specific problem.
The honest note
Results with pigmentation are measured in months, not weeks. The protocol needs to be consistent to work. This is a commitment, not a treatment.
How to use it
The method
After moisturiser
Apply the SVR Ampoule C after your moisturiser has absorbed. Two to three drops. Press in gently. Wait sixty seconds before the next step.
SPF last
Sunsimed SPF50 as the final step. Always. Apply generously — most people use half the amount needed for full protection. More than you think.
Reapply
If you are outside for more than two hours, reapply the Sunsimed. SPF that is not reapplied stops working. This is the step most people skip.
